Momorial to Kelly - The story of what growing up with Kelly was like.

I will always feel truely blessed to have had Kelly as my mother. If I had to describe my mother in one word that depicted the story of her life, it would be " Bohemian" (Definition: A nonconformist artist or writer who lives an unconventional life). Kelly did not conform to the status quo and she lived an unconventional lifestyle compared to her contemporaries. From my perspective it meant growing up as kids and calling our parents J.T. & Kelly rather than Mom and Dad and not having that be considered disrespectful, to having no rules to follow in growing up (or I should say only 1 rule, which was if you were not going to be home when you said you were, you had to call her to let her know when you would be home), to participating in the counterculture 50's "Beat Generation" scene in San Francisco and the following 60's "Hippie Movement", to dropping a conventional job to embark in a livelihood of creating sculptural jewelry, to having an open home where anyone was welcome almost 24/7 all the while exhibiting a full acceptance and appreciation of everyone and everything around her. I salute you Mom/Kelly for a life well lived! Love, Eric
